Notes
Todd Herbert's second recording on Metropolitan Records, "The Tree of Life", came after rave reviews came pouring in after his first recording "The Path to Infinity". Featuring Todd Herbert on tenor sax, Anthony Wonsey on piano, Dwayne Burno on bass and Jason Brown on drums. With so many artists pumping out more recordings of the classic jazz standards, this CD is a testament to what jazz fans "should be hearing" to keep jazz music moving forward and alive. As jazz author Scott Yanow proclaims in the liner notes - "Todd Herbert, a brilliant young tenor-saxophonist, takes John Coltrane as a point of departure in presenting his own original music."
