The unit is compact, measuring 6 inches by 3 inches by 2 inches, so it is unobtrusive and it fits easily in your pocket, gear bag, or tackle box. The portable finder is versatile in a variety of environments to help you grab the catch of the day. The sonar sensor, attached to a 30-foot cord, gives several options for use: once you troll it, float it, or mount it to your boat or kayak, you are ready to cast your fishing line and hook the big one.The Norcross F33P also works well if you are angling from a dock or the shore. This unit will work to find fish in any body of water whether it's salt or fresh water. It offers a number of select features, including easy touch programming, algorithmic programming that helps eliminate false readings, and a soft glow backlighting for easy readability in dim lighting. In addition, the polarized VirtuView liquid crystal icon display makes the finder easy to read in direct sunlight.Hawkeye engineered this fish finder to be user-friendly. The easy-to-read screen displays the following features; depth readout adjustable to feet or meters, sensitivity setting, backlight on/off, fish alarm on/off, battery save on/off, battery strength indicator, fish depth Indicator, bottom contour indicator, WeedID weed indicator, and a location indicator.Using one of these finders puts everything you need to know to find the big catch right in the palm of your hand. You can easily find areas of weeds, rocks, and other areas of debris where your catch is fond of hiding. Check the depth readout, which is adjustable to both standard and metric units of measurement, to see the depth of your catch with a non-size specific outline on the screen. The unit uses four AAA batteries and has a battery save feature to make the most of your time on the water. Four fresh batteries typically give between 20 and 30 hours of use. The optional two-stage audible alarm alerts you when your catch is nearby, up to 99 feet. Anglers can set the finder to one of four different user-selected sensitivity settings to customize based on the water conditions. This is particularly helpful when much debris is in the water and will prevent false alerts.
