The photos accurately showed the item's appearance. I interpreted the word 'TESTED' in the description 'RADIOSHACK MICRO-28 #14-1177 MICROCASSETTE RECORDER TESTED' as indicating the recorder was functional, which, after installing two AA batteries and the tape and pushing buttons, turned out not to be the case. It would not run. Oh well. I suppose the lesson here is to contact the seller before purchasing an item to get a more accurate representation of the condition of the item.
