About this product

Product Information

Isaac Adams is a fictional narrator born in 1625. However, the story he shares is based on true events. Adams is a righteous man seeking to understand how New England has developed and seemingly destroyed the local Indian traditions. He has discovered the decline of the New England Indian as he has lived in various settlements throughout colonial Southern New England. The one bright spot between Indian and the white man occurred while Isaac lived in Martha's Vineyard where the Indian successfully became a Christian. The matter of Christianizing the Indians throughout the region brought the narrator to become passionate toward educating others on the events that led to the conversion of Indians into Christianity and if this was a realistic vision. The self-interest that nation building develops eliminated much good effort that certain divine men had put forth in order to form a true Christian state with Indians included. Does the world of today reflect the views of Isaac Adams?
