The dual port serial attached SCSI interface enables high-speed data transfer and peripheral-to-peripheral communications, making the HP internal HDD suitable for businesses with substantial storage, backup, and archiving demands. As the 10,000 RPM drive has a 2.5-inch form factor, the HP internal HDD can also be used in laptops. Hot-plugging support enables you to connect or disconnect the 10,000 RPM drive without having to shut down the server/storage units in the event of a disk failure, improving the performance of the 72 GB HP Proliant drive.
