  • Veteran Tactical Squads which contain the most experienced warriors along with the highest quality and most advanced weaponry available.
  • Legion Tactical Support Squads which are usually mobile fire support units that use specialized weapons, war gear, and tactics.
  • Heavy Support Squads provide infantry forces mobile firepower against enemy ground troops and armored vehicles.
Are the Salamanders part of the Horus Heresy Codex?

The Salamanders were the XVIII Legion of the Space Marine Legion that was part of the cataclysmic battle when the Horus Heresy became known. They were one of the four legions that remained loyal out of the seven that were sent into battle. They were grievously injured which forced them into a tactical retreat. This limits their involvement throughout the rest of the war, but the Salamanders continue to play a key role as the ideal Space Marine devoting themselves to the salvation of humanity.

What color scheme are the Salamanders model miniatures painted?

Within the Warhammer 40K realm, the Salamanders are also known as the Dragon Warriors, and they do follow a certain color scheme. These Legion warriors are usually painted in the colors of green, black, and gold. Painting them can be done with an airbrush, or each Salamander can be painted by hand.
