Sean Wotherspoon's Colorful Creativity Meets Nike's Classic Design in the Air Max 1/97 Collaboration
These 'Revolutionaries', as they were dubbed, created incredible footwear designs, and the public voted to determine which shoe would be released for Air Max Day 2018. Sean Wotherspoon, the winner, combined an Air Max 97 upper with an Air Max 1 outsole and midsole. The Nike Air Max 1/97 x SW was released on March 27th, 2018. The multicolored corduroy upper was inspired by vintage Nike hats and a brainstorming session with close friends and confidants. This new design combined an Air Max 97 upper with an Air Max 1 sole. This pair of shoes has a multicolored corduroy upper with corduroy pull tabs, Velcro tongue patches, and an Infrared Air unit in a retro-inspired design.
