The Air Jordan 30 was released in 2016 in celebration of Air Jordan's 30th anniversary. The UNC colorway was the first of five in the OG Jordan 30 lineup. With its blue and white uppers, this colorway honors Michael Jordan's alma mater: the University of North Carolina. Black accents add a high-impact contrast to the collar, tongue, and laces. A triple-X graphic wraps around the heel as a tribute to the 30-year milestone, and the toe features a classic "Jumpman" logo. These shoes feature padded collars, knit uppers, and full-length FlightSpeed cushioning. Zoom Air bags sit under the balls of the feet, enhancing impact resistance when walking or playing basketball. In comparison to the Jordan 29, the 30 features an updated traction pattern.
