Drama Korean DVDs & Blu-ray Discs

Enjoy Movies and Korean Dramas Without Interruptions

Owning your favorite hard to find movies and Korean dramas on DVD allows you to enjoy your movies and dramas without the interruption of commercials or the video lag that can sometimes happen when you stream them online. Just as it may be hard to find your favorite Korean dramas with English subtitles to stream, it’s sometimes hard to find older English language movies and TV shows. Owning your own copy allows you to watch these rare movies and TV shows whenever you like.

What region or format are available DVDs?

It’s important to make sure that your DVD region code matches up with your DVD or Blue-ray player region. Some DVDs may have the region number listed but it may be confusing what that region is. There are six region codes with the US being in region one. Some Korean dramas may be listed as a different region than your own, so pay attention to the product details as some disc may not be playable in all regions.

  • Region 1: US and US territories, Bermuda, and Canada
  • Region 2: Japan, Europe, South Africa, and the Middle East
  • Region 3: Hong Kong, Southeast Asia, and East Asia
  • Region 4: Central America, Australia, New Zealand, Pacific Islands, and the Carribeans
  • Region 5: Russia, Eastern Europe, India, South and Central Asia, Africa, Mongolia, North Korea, and Baltic States
  • Region 6: China
English subtitles more reliable when purchasing a Korean drama box set

One of the problems with viewing Korean dramas online is that the subtitles are sometimes completed by fans who may not be professional translators. This can result in entire scenes missing translation or even scenes that have incorrect subtitles. All of the Korean drama DVDs available on eBay will have English subtitles but may also offer additional subtitles such as Chinese, Korean, or French.

Are used Korean dramas and rare movies less expensive than new ones?

You will be able to choose from new DVDs and Blue-ray discs still in the original sealed packaging to pre-owned rare movies and Korean drama DVDs. Typically, pre-owned Korean dramas will be less expensive than new DVD box sets, however, older movies that are rare or hard to find may cost as much as a new unopened DVD. The general rule when purchasing hard to find movies and TV shows is that the more in demand and rare the item, the more you’ll pay.
