The exhaust system on your car or truck performs two vital functions: it filters toxic fumes produced in the internal combustion process and releases residual gases into the atmosphere as well as dampens down what would otherwise be a horrendous sound emitted by your engine. Apexi is a Japanese manufacturer of performance-enhancing car and truck exhaust systems. Apexi car and truck exhaust systems fit most vehicle models, including those by Nissan, Mazda, Honda, Toyota, Acura, Subaru, and Lexus.

Apexi manufactures numerous lines of exhaust systems for cars and trucks. Each line has a different design and purpose and is made from varying materials. These lines each have specific purposes for your vehicle, exhaust, and engine.

• N1: This line of systems includes five separate types. These types are N1-X, N1 EVO, N1 EVO-R, N1 Muffler, and N1-DUAL. The N1-X line helps to get the most efficiency of your exhaust with a straight-through layout. It has an internal, hybrid silencer and is made of lightweight titanium. The Evolution (EVO) line features a classic, angled muffler design. The DUAL line features twin pipes that are designed for improving midrange torque.
• RS: The RS line includes both the RS EVO and the RSX. The RS EVO line carries systems that unite power with discreet sound. It has a megaphone-piping-structure design that helps with performance. The RSX takes the RS EVO systems further with the addition of full titanium tips.
• Noir: This line was designed for street use. It was made to be quieter. NOIR mufflers help you maintain a low profile without sacrificing performance.
• Hybrid: The HYBRID EVO line is made entirely of stainless steel. It’s designed with both function and form in mind, providing a low level of sound and high-end power.
• WS2: This is Apexi’s answer to a street-muffler system. The WS2 systems feature high-temperature steel, more low range to midrange power, and mandrel-bent piping.

Apexi makes engine control units, turbos, catalytic converters, inter-coolers, exhaust manifolds and headers, mufflers, hangers, clamps and flanges, and other related components. Parts are manufactured from mild steel, stainless steel, or titanium. Apexi sells its components individually or as parts of complete exhaust systems.

Mild steel is not as hard as stainless steel, making it easier to weld. Stainless steel is harder than mild steel and less vulnerable to rust and corrosion. It is, however, less ductile. Type 409 stainless is frequently used in exhaust systems. Developed in the 1960s, it contains iron, has an 11% chrome composition, and is stabilized by titanium.
